It’s really important to us that our customers get the best, most nourishing and energising sleep for years to come. That’s why we offer a 100-day trial, so you can thoroughly test the mattress to see if it is the one for you. If you are in the market for a new mattress, these 5 tips will help you find what you are really looking for:

  1. Know your options!
In the world of mattresses, it’s easy to feel completely overwhelmed with all the options. The market offers a wide range of different types: latex, innerspring, cold-foam to name a few. No matter what type you choose, the perfect mattress should adjust to your body and offer the perfect support for your spine.
  2. Ask your GP!
If you don’t really know what to look out for when buying a mattress, ask your GP or paediatrician before putting your faith into the hands of a salesperson. Often, they have certain products they have to promote or you happen to be attended to by an inexperienced employee who might be great at selling but not so great at actually finding the best solution for you.

  3. Try it first!
Before investing in your new sleeping companion, you will most probably go to a shop nearby to try it first. While that is a great start, it’s not enough. The key is to try the mattress in your own environment and test it in different everyday situations. That is why online purchasing shot through the roof because all reputable suppliers offer such an important test phase.

  4. Saving attempts often fail!
We all try to save where ever we can, especially when considering larger investments. But be conscious not to save money at the cost of your own health! The importance of quality and sustainability in a mattress is often overlooked which is why a lot of people buy very cheap options and then complain about horrendous back problems a year later. In addition, if you think about how much time of your life is spent lying on that mattress, feeling the materials and breathing the air around it, you don´t want to be opting for cheaper materials which are inevitably treated with pesticides and contain toxins. On that note: go green!
  5. Knowing your sleeping position will help choosing your mattress!
Think about the position you usually sleep in – different positions will need different support: Side sleepers need a very flexible and adaptable mattress, while back sleepers benefit a lot more from a firmer mattress to counteract the torso from subsiding into the mattress.
